A Nyamira based politician has pleaded with MPs to shoot down 8 per cent VAT on petroleum products.
Victor Swanya, who unsuccessfully vied for the Kitutu Masaba MP seat said MPs should not support President Uhuru Kenyatta's new fuel tax.
"It is time MPs to show solidarity with poor electorates by rejecting the new fuel tax being imposed by President Uhuru," he said.
According to the politician, Uhuru sees nothing bad imposing high taxes on the people because he 'forced' himself to people.
"He (Uhuru) is an impostor and he sees nothing when he wakes up and imposes huge taxes on people. MPs should save this country from this mess," he said.
He said Gusii elected leaders should no fall into the tricks of NASA leader Raila Odinga to support Uhuru's proposal.
