Alvindo's Taka Taka was trending at number two on YouTube-Africa a few hours ago before it was removed from the largest video sharing platform.

'The One' from Bongo's Diamond Platnumz had managed to beat the controversial song from the young upcoming Kenyan rapper.

Earlier, the government through the Kenya Film and Classification Board(KFCB) had banned the song even before the singer released its official video.

However, Alvindo defied the order from the government and went ahead to shoot the video. He later uploaded the video on YouTube about four days ago.

As it was expected, the song was doing good on YouTube, considering the controversy that surrounded the song as well as the singer. It had been watched over 200,000 times before they pulled it down.

KFCB CEO Ezekiel Mutua banned the song on grounds that it was promoting violence among the youths, belittling women in the county among other allegations.

However, it is not clear if the government wrote to YouTube to have the song removed from the site or not.

Sometimes the platform pulls down songs which promotes violence, promotes pornography, stolen ideas, among others.

So far the singer has not shared with his fans why the song has been pulled down.
