AFC Leopards coach Andre Casa Mbungo has selected a 20-man squad travelling to face Tanzania PL champions Yanga SC in a preseason friendly on Sunday.
Mbungo has selected a strong team in what looks likes the first-team squad that will battle for the 2019/20 Kenya Premier League (KPL) season. The full squad is as follows;
GOALKEEPERS: Benjamin Ochan, Ezekiel Owade,
DEFENDERS: Dennis Sikhayi, Isaac Kipyegon, Soter Kayumba, Collins Shivachi, Christopher Oruchum
MIDFIELDERS: Collins Shichenje, Said Tsuma, Whyvonne Isuza, John Wanda, Eugene Mukangala, Vincent Habamahoro, Tresor Ndikumana, Boniface Mukhekhe
STRIKERS: Vincent Oburu, Clark Achuka, Ismailla Diarra, Hansel Ochieng, Jaffery Odeny
A couple of notable inclusions in the squad are new signing Hansel Ochieng who was part of the Nzoia Sugar attacking trio last campaign alongside new defensive midfielder Tresor Ndikumana who is yet to feature in preseason so far.
Even more notables absentees include veteran captain Robinson Kamura, new centre back Robert Mudenyu who had a solid season for Sony Sugar last season and whiz kid Brian Marita.
Ingwe will be using the friendly to prepare for the upcoming campaign as well as making full debuts for new signings Collins Shivachi. AFC face Kakamega Homeboys in their opening KPL game on September 1st.
