Rarieda lawmaker Otiende Amollo is currently one of the most celebrated politicians in Luo Nyanza.
The youthful parliamentarian has brought a set of new and emulatable characteristics on the Luo Nyanza political table.
Here are some of them;
Uniqueness
Since his entry into office in 2017, Amollo alias 'Jabura' has managed to make a name for himself courtesy of his ability to stand out from the rest, even in Parliament.
One of the things that make him unique is his fluency of the English language and love for collarless shirts, this added to his leadership style makes him an admirable leader.
Political leaders should emulate him and at least have something unique that can be used to refers to them for better results in their future political notions.
Hard work
Apart from the hard job of moving from his constituency in Siaya county to attend sitting in parliament in Nairobi, Amollo has not been sitting by and enjoying his privileges.
Instead, he has gone physical and can be seen personally engaging in the construction of new houses for his less fortunate constituents in what he calls the 'Ondoa Nyasi' initiative.
If all Nyanza leaders were to engage in such then the region would be among the best to live in and with satisfied and smiling people. Unfortunately, not all leaders are like him.
3. Loyalty
While the likes of Migori Governor Okoth Obado are preaching wine and drinking water, in office on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and fighting the same party, Amollo remains steady.
To avoid unending political rows which end up eating time that would have been used in development, Nyanza leaders should emulate Otiende and remain true to their parties.
