Barely a week after pointing out cracks in Jubilee administration, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen is now fighting to save his political career.

An MP allied to the opposition outfit NASA confirmed that plans were in place to kick out Murkomen from his senate seat over 'persistent attacks on presidency'.

"I can confirm that our Senators have received a message over the plot. It is only a matter of time he is kicked out," said the MP who spoke in confidence.

And Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu gave a hint on Murkomen's future when he poked holes on the Elgeyo-Marakweti's attitude towards the government.

The vocal MP who vehemently defends President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration asked Murkomen to resign.

"As Majority Leader, you should be in sync with the government and president and if you cannot defend the position, then you must quit," he averred.

Interestingly, on Wednesday night at Weston Hotel, Rift Valley MPs maintained that their plot to kick out Murkomen as the regional caucus chairman was in place.

Despite surviving following intervention by a section of MPs, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter insisted that Murkomen must forfeit the seat.

"Our position still remains that Murkomen's conduct is questionable. He is not yet off the hook," he said.

The faction led by Keter, Joshua Kuttuny and Silas Tiren, both viewed as rebels, accused Murkomen of 'talking carelessly' sensitive issues.
