A former senatorial aspirant has assured troubled Deputy President William Ruto that he will stand firm with him ahead of the 2022 polls.
Isaac Onchagwa, a close friend with DP Ruto said DP Ruto won't be alone in his presidential ambition.
"Ruto's development ideologies will send him to State House in 2022. A section of politicians claiming Ruto will walk alone in 2022 genetral elections are day dreaming. I will be part of those campaigning for DP Ruto in 2022," he stated.
Onchagwa who unsuccessfully vied for the Kisii County senator seat during the August 8, 2017 polls reiterated that DP Ruto is focused to clinch presidency unlike opposition leaders who are interested to split the ruling Jubilee party.
"Ruto is the next president once his boss completes his second and last term in 2022. I'm appealing to politicians more especially from Gusii community to join hands and support the winner (Ruto)," he added.
According to Onchagwa, the Gusii community has been in the political cold for long.
"Our people must be in government come 2022. Electorates should consider voting for DP Ruto," he stated.
