In addition to his political bravely, former Nakuru politician Dixon Kihika Kimani was known for his venomous tongue.

In his column 'Memories From the Beat', veteran journalist Kamau Ngotho recalls a day, accompanied by his photographer, visited Kimani at his Bahati home for an interview.

Upon learning the two journalists were from the defunct Kenya Times, the outspoken politician dismissed them: "Who told you I talk to Moi’s dogs!" he said.

He added: "I know he (Moi) has sent you to spy on me. Go and tell him I have refused to talk to you".

That was the true nature of Kimani, who, it now appears, his daughter Susan Kihika, is no different. A classic case of like father like daughter.

Reacting to the remarks made by former Jubilee party interim vice chairman David Murathe on live TV Tuesday night, Kihika, the Nakuru Senator, has described the outspoken politician as a 'political harlot'.

This is after Murathe dismissed Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid and vowed to use all means, both legal and political, to ensure he does not succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The vocal senator termed the sentiments as 'nonsense' and wondered why the former Gatanga MP had not made them before Uhuru's reelection.

"Murathe just woke up and discovered DP Ruto was not eligible to run for president? Height of hypocrisy! Why didn’t he spew that nonsense before the 2017 elections? He is going around endorsing others for presidency 2022, political harlot! (sic)" Kihika tweeted.

The lawmaker is one of the fiercest defenders of the DP and has vowed to rally her supporters behind him in his ambition to run for the presidency.
