Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has promised to team up with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to develop his constituency.
According to Momanyi, he will take advantage of Matiang'i's promotion to push for development.
"I wish to congratulate Matiang'i following his promotion. Since he comes from Borabu, I will work closely with him for the sake of bringing development in the constituency to boost the livelihoods of people," he noted.
The vocal lawmaker urged Gusii elected leaders to give support to Matiang'i so that he can deliver effectively.
He dismissed a section of leaders opposed to Matiang'i promotion saying jealous will derail development in Gusii region.
"As leaders from Gusii community we must celebrate Matiang'i's new promotion because he has made us proud. Those opposed to President Uhur Kenyatta's decision to promote Matiang'i have a hidden agenda to achieve," said Momanyi.
Momanyi, who was re-elected on a Wiper Party ticket during the August 8, 2017 polls, challenged Matiang'i to use the opportunity to develop Gusii region.
"Given that Matiang'i will be be coordinating and supervising development projects, let him use the opportunity push for more development in Gusii region," he stated.
