For the last one week, Rift Valley politicians have shifted guns against Uhuru, accusing him of betraying his deputy despite supporting him in the last two elections.

And at Bomet on Saturday, Murkomen led a troop of Rift Valley MPs in castigating President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom they accused of hiding in the handshake with Raila Odinga to undermine Deputy President William Ruto.

“You cannot hide behind the handshake and fight against graft when we know that the agenda is to fight Ruto politically. Uhuru should come out and tell us he is tired with his deputy and we will call it a day,” said Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen.

Oscar Sudi said: “We need to tell one another the truth. The situation is getting out of hand and Uhuru seems to be taking advantage to target us in Rift Valley in the name of fighting corruption. It seems President Kenyatta has got another option and it is time he declares it so that we part ways.”

So divisive has been the rift within Jubilee that even DP William Ruto on Saturday at Kilifi also accused DCI George Kinoti of doing shoddy investigations in Sh21 billion Kimwarer and Arror dams in which preliminary investigations show money was misappropriated.

On his part, Uhuru has insisted that the fight against graft will not stop, adding that those with evidence of him also stealing should report to the DCI offices
