Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Wednesday morning held talks with Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio. Raila, who also doubles as African Union special envoy, revealed that they discussed several issues in their meeting.
The ODM leader said that the talks were centred around infrastructural development and trade ties in African nations.
"Held talks in London with the President of Sierra Leone H.E Julius Maada Bio that centred around issues of trade and infrastructure ties among African nations," he tweeted after the meeting.
Raila, who has since vowed to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta, had travelled to deliver a talk at the at Chatham House in London.
While there, he met different personalities including the wife of the former UN Secretary-General the late Dr Kofi Annan, Shanthi and his son Kojo Annan.
In his speech, Raila hailed the late Annan as a hero who will live in many hearts forever. He noted that his impact was not only felt in Africa but also entire world.
He also said: “One of his key contributions to global agenda was to refine a policy mandating states to step in wherever and whenever human lives are threatened by hate, disease or poverty.”
Raila also visited Bomet Governor Joyce Laboso, who is currently admitted at a London Hospital.
