He recalls the time when his anxious wife called him informing him of a bad dream she had that he has lost his life in a road accident on that particular day.

Without knowing what was going to happen ahead, she reassured her wife he was safe and told her to go back to sleep.

A few minutes later, as he was still thinking of his wife’s bad dream, he watched the bus ran into a stationary lorry in Matuu town, Machakos County

"I heard a loud bang on the left side of the bus, followed by wailing as the bus veered off the road and then stopped. I jumped out through a window,” he told the nation after being treated for slight bruises and discharged from Matuu District Hospital.

Abdulrashid, who is a businessman, is happy to survive the accident but yet to understand the meaning of his wife’s dream.

He also revealed how they kept on complaining to the driver to reduce his speed but he never did.

"We kept complaining to the driver about loud music and speeding, but he turned a deaf ear,” Mohammed said.

Machakos County Police Commander Mohammed Farah said police are investigating the cause of the accident as the driver of the bus is in police hands.

He also reveals that there is a possibility that the driver was tired after many hours of driving. Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has blamed careless driving and ignoring road safety as the cause of the accident.
