Mr Wetangula fell out with National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga early this year and said he will contest for the top seat.

It seems he has now changed his mind is open to supporting DP Ruto’s presidential bid come 2022 General Election.

Senator Wetangula said he was ready to work with Mr Ruto on matters of politics when the time comes adding that he is sure he will be in government come 2022.

“Right now, we are working together with the Deputy President on matters of development because the time for elections is over. But when the time comes, we will work together on matters of politics.”

“I have assured my supporters we will be in government in 2022. The sure way to do it is working with Ruto who will lead the assault for the top seat,” said Mr Wetangula.

The Bungoma Senator was speaking on Friday in Bungoma County when he accompanied DP Ruto to launch the Terem-Chwele-Nalondo Water Supply Project.

DP Ruto who has been making frequent tours in the Western region said he was ready to work with leaders from the region in addressing challenges facing them.

“I am ready to work with Mr Wetangula on matters of development but when the time for politics comes, we will know what to do,” said Mr Ruto.
