Korane claims that his political enemies want to force him out office through malicious propaganda.

Speaking to journalists at Dertu Secondary School on Sunday, Korane said that he will not fall to malicious propaganda.

He rubbished claims linking him to the shooting of former Garissa  Finance Executive Idris Muktar.

Korane said that those linking him to the incident are his enemies who want him out of office.

"I have nothing to do with the shooting. What you are seeing is malicious propaganda being spread by certain people. I had no problem with the person that was shot," the Jubilee governor said.

Korane said that  he is focused on his leadership urging residents  to ignore propaganda.

The  Jubilee Governor is at the center of investigations into the shooting of Muktar.

Last week, Korane was arrested and grilled by detectives for hours before being released.

A key suspect linked to the shooting committed suicide at the Parklands police station on Thursday last week.
