Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has challenged her critics, saying they should stop politicking about her and support development agenda in the constituency.
Speaking when delivering a bus to Malindi football clubs at Coast Boys football grounds, Kwachocha, Jumwa said she will continue delivering to her constituents unlike her critics who are out to humiliate and paint her dark.
Citing her support to Jubilee Party's Deputy President William Ruto from ODM, Jumwa said people should not go for her but should rather attack ODM party leader Raila Odinga, who 'forgot' all the efforts that the opposition had in store for Kenyans and supported the Jubilee administration.
"Don't kill the symptom, kill the disease. Stop attacking me because of my political decision. Attack who did it first. ODM had all it takes but what did Baba do, he left us," she said on Sunday.
"...so why should I not join him and be in government? I have always supported ODM and it's now time for Malindi to be in government. I will have no contract with ODM in five years," added the lawmaker, citing the 2022 general elections.
Jumwa also gave Sh50,000 to victory Baptist Church Kwachocha on Saturday on aid of purchasing church instrumentals and a cheque of Sh500,000 to Shella youth group to assist them with garbage collection project.
On Friday Jumwa was the chief guest at Malindi Education Day hosted by Malindi education fraternity at Barani secondary. In attendance was Education PS Belio Kipsang, Kilifi woman representative Mbeyu Mwanyanje among others.
