A Nyamira MP has accused his political rivals for inciting locals to protest over poor roads in the constituency.
Ben Momanyi of Borabu said his rivals are not happy with him since he won the elections on August 8, 2017.
"Borabu constituents are being incited by my opponents to protest claiming roads are poor in the region. I wish to urge the opponents to give me a break and wait until 2022 to vie for the MP seat," he said.
The Wiper Party MP said he will not succumb to any threats because he is committed to serve the electorates.
"When road projects are not done properly I should not be blamed since I am not the contractor. Contractors who will be doing shoddy work must know I will not tolerate them any longer," Mr. Momanyi said.
He said he will not award any road tender to people outside the constituency.
"I am not ready to go against the promise I made to my people. Road contractors must come from Borabu constituency," he added.
