Speaking on Monday morning at Citizen TV's Day Break show, the ODM Senator said he will not dare queue to have the number.

"I have not registered and no way will I register. Wakenya wanasumbuliwa bure…the court said it is not mandatory," he said.

He further added that when the National Assembly amended the provisions on the registration of persons, they went against human rights as it never appeared in the Senate's Standing Orders or Notice of Motion.

"Registration of Persons Act was changed under a miscellaneous Act and included section 8(A) to say there will be the creation of this Huduma Namba. They violated our rights when they did that because this should have been brought to the Senate for concurrence," he added.

The Huduma Namba registration was challenged in court by the Human Rights groups and the court ordered that Kenyans should not be compelled to register as they have a right to do so at their own will.

Huduma Namba registration was launched on March 2 at Maasi in Machakos County by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The exercise has since been extended by one week and is expected to be closed on May 25.
