Speaking on NTV’s AM Live Tuesday morning, the Senator further told off a section of politicians questioning the DP’s wealth, and income sources.

He stressed on the need for the nation to focus in issues of national importance instead of only concentrating on one person, saying that Ruto’s wealth is very little if he were to be compared to other politicians.

‘’By the standard of the Odingas, Kenyatta's and Mudavadis of this nation, William Ruto is a very poor man so why the obsession with him?’’ he wondered.

‘’Is there a list of people who should own property in this nation?’’ he added.

In the poll, Ruto was closely followed by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru in a list that also included former President Daniel Moi, President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition chief Raila Odinga and ex-Nairobi county chief Evans Kidero.

Both Ruto and Waiguru have since come out guns blazing against the report, accusing the Tom Wolf-led research firm of propagating fake news and baseless allegations.

The DP has as blamed it on his political rivals whom he says have failed to match his development record and are now out to spoil his 2022 presidential bid using separate avenues.
