Speaking in Kisii town on Saturday, Bishop Omangi claimed the county government of Kisii never invites locals for public participation forums as it is required by the law.

He also accused governor Ongwae of rogue leadership.

"It is a time the people of Kisii know the truth about Ongwae and his government. A few individuals are usually involved when it comes to making decisions in the county and residents are never involved. Lack of public participation in the county is the reason corruption is at the peak," said Bishop Omangi who also accused the county boss of running Kisii affairs as a small village kiosk.

According to the ACK Bishop, even church leaders have been sidelined by the county government on several occasions.

He further claimed that a section of Members of County Assembly (MCAs) have sided with the governor to embezzle public funds.

"Kisii residents will continue suffering because Ongwae has prioritized pocketing public monies," cautioned Bishop Omangi.
