A man is in grief after his newly married wife allegedly swindled sh70,000 from his house.
Mr.Paul Onchong'a,a resident of Kegati,said on Wednesday his wife took away the money and fled to another man, she secretly loved.
His efforts to reach her family to plead with her to return the money have gone unsuccessful, with the family claiming she has been conning unsuspecting men.
"I left her at home and went to work as usual.I never suspected her motives because she claimed to love me.When I returned home she was not there until I called to confirm her whereabouts. Then she told me she was with her new man,"Onchong'a told shocked residents in Kisii town.
He said he had reported the matter to the police,who promised to hunt and arrest her.
"After informing her parents who told me she is a notorious conwoman,I reported her to the police. We should first know our new marriage partners before trusting then with our properties. Many youths should learn from me when marrying, "he warned amid tears.
A deranged Onchong'a swore that he will ensure the woman she only named as Ann,is nabbed and sentenced.
