The Japan-based striker, who plays for Kashiwa Reysol, joined camp on Tuesday, giving a timely boost to coach Sebastian Migne.

Olunga wasn't the only foreign-based player in the Tuesday training session as head coach Sebastien Migne had the opportunity to work with Sweden based players, Ochieng Ovella, David Ochieng, Eric Ouma and Eric Johanna with Belgium based Johanna Omollo and Abud Omar having also joined the team.

Other players who have joined the team include; Defender Musa Mohammed (Nkana FC), with David Owino, Anthony Akumu, Jesse Were and Clifton Miheso having already linked with the team a day earlier.

The team is, however, sweating on the availability of Captain Victor Wanyama, who is yet to jet into the country.

His is a complicated case, with reports indicating his club; Tottenham Hotspurs are unwilling to let him play for the Stars.

Wanyama is nursing an injury that has kept him out of action for the first four matches for his club but was deemed fit by the club’s medical team.

However, the club does not want to risk him during Saturday’s fixture, which will be important for the national team.

Kenya takes on Ghana on Saturday at the Moi Sports Centre Kasarani, in an AFCON match second round.

Stars lost their first match away to Sierra Leon and will be hoping to pick all three points in order to keep alive their hopes.
