Barely days after it was reported that Club Sportif Constantinos was willing to pay Gor Mahia Sh8 million for the services of attacking midfielder Francis Kahata; Gor Chairman has now asked the club to engage with him directly instead of approaching Kahata, noting that the player has7 months' contract with the club.
Rachier said that they are ready to negotiate a deal with the Algerian club as long as they to talk directly with the club instead of the player.
"Kahata came to me with a letter, written in French, from Constantine. Where the club asked Kahata to travel for trials but as Gor Mahia we have asked the player to write to the club and request them to write to us," said Ambrose Rachier.
Rachier has further asked Constantine to follow the right channel, and that they won't hold back Kahata and will instead let him leave once they agree on a suitable deal.
"Kahata still has a contract with us and they have decided to talk to him instead of us the club. We are ready to listen to them if they write to us. We will release Kahata once we agree on the deal," he added.
It is believed that Constantine wrote a letter on 18th, November, asking Kahata to travel to Algeria to make a deal with them.
Instead, Kahata reported to Rachier and asked him for permission before holding talks with the new suitors.
Meanwhile, Rachier has dismissed news surrounding the transfer of Rwandese striker Jack Tusiyenge and defender Philemon Otieno, who have been reported by the media that they are on the verge of exiting the KPL champs.
"No one has approached me on Tuyisenge. This has only emanated from the in social media," he said.
According to Tuyisenge agent, Jean Karekezi, the player is hunted by South Africa giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Congo's TP Mazembe, while Philemon is wanted by his former coach, Dylan Kerr at PSL side, Black Leopards.
