Nakuru nominated MCA Joyce Anyiso who was accused of clobbering her colleague over a lover has denied the reports.
Anyiso went physical with Jackline Manyara at the assembly’s cafeteria and the fight was widely covered in the media.
Initial reports claimed the two were fighting over a man.
Anyiso has however claimed that their differences with Manyara started in Naivasha after she asked her why she was mistreated another colleague.
“The issue started in Naivasha when Manyara was trying to harass the MCA of Mauche Philip Rotich. Manyara accused Mauche of influencing her husband to abandon her,” Anyiso said.
She added that she became irked as Manyara kept harassing Rotich.
“That is the genesis; I wondered why she tried to intimidate the Mauche MCA. That led to a scuffle,” she added.
The incident involving the nominated MCAs is now under the Assembly’s Powers and Privileges Committee.
