For the second time in as many months, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka returned to Kabarak following the invitation of his political mentor, Daniel Moi.
In April shortly after Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the former Head of State, Kalonzo toured at Kabarak for a courtesy call.
On Wednesday, the newly appointed Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission head to South Sudan, landed at Kabarak following the invitation of the former president.
"Visiting Former President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home, in Nakuru," wrote Kalonzo on Twitter.https://twitter.com/skmusyoka/status/1063355963133054976?s=19.
Last week, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, a son to the former president, visited Mr Musyoka at Karen home to condole him following the death of the latter's father.
At the event, Mr Moi delivered a message from the former president in which he asked Kalonzo to visit after the burial of his father to Kabarak.
"I specifically bring condolences of my father, who has personally asked H. E Musyoka to visit him at Kabarak so that he can condole with him in person," he said as Musyoka accepted the invitation.
Details of the meeting between the two however remain scanty but it is suspected that politics could have dominated.
Mr Musyoka, a long serving minister in government, credits Moi for supporting him throughout his youth and in government. He was first appointed to government in 1985.
Moi's son, Gideon Moi, played host also to Kalonzo and the two could be contemplating a possible political partnership in 2022.
