Political analyst David Osiany has told Kenyans not to pay much attention about the ongoing war of words between Nandi Governor Stephen Sang' and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho.
The two have been locked in a terrible exchange lately after Sang accused Joho of dealing in drugs.
This was shortly after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader attacked Deputy President William Ruto during his recent tour of Western Kenya.
Speaking on Wednesday, Osiany termed both Governors as friends who have only spotted a political opening which they are trying to maximize on ahead of the approaching 2022 general elections.
He claimed that Sang is using the battle to appeal to the Deputy President and his supporters, as he seeks to politically elevate himself and appear closer to the DP for obvious political purposes.
"The two are friends and such are obvious. On the side of Governor Sang, he wants to be audible and appear like Ruto's eye in the Rift Valley region," said the commentator speaking on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation Show, Wednesday morning.

Sudi has since laughed off Joho's demands for an apology, saying that he is the one who needs to apologize for destroying the lives of Kenyan youth through his alleged trade.
