Former Kibwezi West MP Kalembe Ndile has told Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to forget about succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Ndile said Kalonzo will never be Kenya’s president.
According to the former legislator, Kalonzo is not aggressive and has no appetite for the top leadership.
Ndile said the former Vice President is too comfortable in his bid to be president in 2022.
“I don’t think Kalonzo has the appetite for the presidency in 2022 and his bid is a waste of time,” Ndile said.
He made the statements during an interview at a local radio station on Sunday.
Ndile said the Ukambani political kingpin is too soft and will lose miserably if he contests in the 2022 presidential polls.
“Kalonzo must stop being fearful if he wants to be taken seriously in his bid to succeed president Kenyatta in 2022,” he said.
Ndile added that Ukambani region's disunity will deny Kalonzo votes in the next polls.
He said Kalonzo must reach out to his political rivals in Ukambani if he is serious in succeeding Kenyatta.
The former lawmaker observed that the 2022 presidential election will be tough and that Kalonzo has to develop a "thick skin" and political stamina to win.
Kalonzo is among top politicians who have declared their interests in succeeding President Kenyatta in 2022.
The former Vice President says his bid for the presidency is unstoppable.
Two weeks ago during the burial of his father, Kalonzo said he was ready to be President Kenyatta’s "mtu wa mkono" (errands boy).
