Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa made the remarks, telling off those alleging that Raila is too old to stay in politics insisting that Odinga is the man to beat in Kenyan politics.

Speaking on the Radio Jambo’s mid morning show early Saturday, Aladwa said that Raila is the king of democracy in Kenya and that is why he even fostered the handshake on March 9th last year.

“Raila Odinga is a politician like no other, he has contested presidency four times and he is also the immediate former prime minister of the republic of Kenya hence no one is supposed to talk carelessly about Raila: he has been, is and will forever remain popular in Kenya and across boarders”, said Aladwa.

He was responding to Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa who was also live on the station during the same show.

Aladwa insisted that the handshake should be embraced by all Kenyans and political leaders should support President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila to bring peace and development to Kenya.

He added that Kenya should be made a comfortable home for everybody regardless of political affiliations and other factors.

Odinga was appointed by the African Union to mediate the 2010-2011 Ivorian crisis, which involved Alassane Ouattara and Laurent Gbagbo.
