Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has mourned the death of Samuel Aondo Ong'era, elder brother to Kisii County MP Hon. Janet Ong'era
The County's second in command sent a message of condolence to the family following the demise of their loved one.
"It is with deep sorrow and regret that I have learnt of the passing on of Samwel Aondo, brother to Kisii County Woman rep Hon. Janet Ong'era. I would like to convey my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the Woman rep," Maangi's post on his Facebook page.
He added; "My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you in this very difficult time. May the Almighty God grant your family the strength you need at this difficult moment."
Samuel succumbed to throat cancer on Tuesday night at Nairobi hospital where he has been admitted for the last 2.
Until his demise, Samuel was still at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Maangi is eyeing to succeed his boss Governor James Ongwae in 2022.
He has maintained that he will give other gubernatorial aspirants a run for their money.
