The war of words between Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny escalated on Thursday with the former not ready to let go their differences.

At Citizen TV on Tuesday, Kutuny fired back at Murkomen, who had claimed that he was a charcoal seller, revealing how he relied on him before making it to senate.

"I picked you from streets and made you senator. My wife bought you a car and we even used to send you upkeep money every Friday," Kutuny revealed.

The two had differed on maize farming stalemate that has seen several farmers miss out payments despite supplying maize to NCPB early this year.

But in yet another stormy attack, Murkomen sarcastically rubbishes Kutuny's claims as propaganda. He even goes ahead to post a photo of his while working as a law lecturer at Moi University.

So divisive has been the maize farming debate that Kutuny's team has directly accused Deputy President William Ruto of allegedly orchastrating the stalemate through supply made by rogue traders.

Last week at Bomet, Ruto accused rebel MPs of politicising farming, instead insisted that area farmers from the vast Rift Valley region should focus on diversification.
