A 53-Year-old man is set to serve a jail term of forty-three years after he was found guilty of raping his neighbour’s four-year-old twin daughters.
According to Kisii senior resident magistrate Julius Mutai the evidence produced by the chief prosecutor was enough to land the man accused Julius Mouko the sentence.
The court heard that the ordeal was committed on June 7th 2018 when the mother of the twins had sent them to buy candles near a shop in Itumbe about 7 PM and when they were returning home the accused man raped them at a nearby bush.
A key witness in the case Dorcas Nyaanga explained to the court that he caught the man in the act and alerted neighbors who hurriedly rushed to the scene and found the girls bleeding.
Julius, however, denied the claims and said he was just joking with the girls and those who witnessed the incident are all lying.
“After listening to all sides the accused Julius Mouko will serve forty-three years as the evidence brought before me, clearly shows he raped the underage girls and the semen that was found matches with his DNA” said Mutai
He however has seven days to file an appeal.
