A section of leaders have elicited mixed reactions from leads that Kalonzo Musyoka may have landed a top job.
Led by ODM politician Samuel Omwando, they argued that there is nothing bad Kalonzo being appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as a peace envoy.
"Kalonzo has been in the political cold for years after former President Mwai Kibaki retired. It is Kalonzo's time to work and eat the fruits of his patience," he said.
Rachael Otundo, a local politician also said Kalonzo has been a peaceful man.
"The former Vice President was appointed for the right job. He is a peace loving man and without doubt, he will deliver. I am congratulating President Uhuru for considering Kalonzo who has been suffering in the political cold," she noted.
Omwancha Okioma, former Kitutu Masaba MP said Kalonzo desperately needed a job.
"Mr. Musyoka has been so desperate and confused. Let him enjoy his new role and unite the people," said Okioma.
Ex-Bonchari MP Protus Kebati Kalonzo appointment came at the right time.
"Raila Odinga landed a top job at AU. I am happy his running mate (Kalonzo Musyoka) has been appointed as well. Let the two opposition leaders help the Jubilee government serve the people," he noted.
