A section of Gusii politicians have reacted following Deputy President William Ruto's remarks that he is ready to support any candidate the Jubilee party will select to vie for Presidency in 2022.

Ex-Bonchari MP John Opore said DP Ruto will have no option other than accepting the outcome. 

"If Jubilee party won't give DP Ruto a ticket then there will be no crime for him to support the person who the party will settle for to vie for Presidency in 2022," said Opore. 

Opore who lost his seat during the August 8, 2017 polls on a Jubilee ticket said in politics one need to be flexible and make wide decisions. 

Thomas Nyangaresi, a politician allied to ANC party lauded DP Ruto's for making a u-turn. 

"Ruto is now aware of what democracy is. He must be ready to support others if he can't get a direct ticket. His threats will affect his political career," he said. 

He vocal politician noted that DP Ruto has sensed that if he can't drop his hard stance, the Jubilee party leadership may end up expelling him from the party ahead of 2022. 

"Mr Ruto is a humble man and that is how politicians should behave when things goes off-side," he stated.
