President Uhuru Kenyatta left the country on Saturday, August 25th on a U.S trip that will see him meet the American President Donald Trump on Monday.

President Kenyatta, accompanied by First Lady Margret Kenyatta confirmed their arrival in the US on his twitter account. 

“Arrived in Washington DC for an official visit ahead of talks with US President Donald Trump. I will also meet executives of top US companies to promote Kenya as a preferred investment destination,” he wrote on his twitter handle.

He headed to the Hay Adams Hotel, where he was received by Kenya’s Ambassador to the U.S. Robinson Githae, Majority Leader of the National Assembly Aden Duale, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretaries Monica Juma and Treasury CS Henry Rotich. 

Hay Adams Hotel is a Five Star Hotel in the U.S.A and the top hotel in Washington DC. It is in Lafayette Square some meters away from the Washington Monument. 

Hay Adams Hotel has 145 rooms and 21 suites. Surprisingly, it will cost you $368-579, estimated around Ksh37,000-58,000 to book a standard room at this hotel for a night. 

The most expensive room at the hotel is the Luxury One Bedroom Suite Lafayette Park View. Per night, one has to part ways with a whopping $1,839, estimated around Ksh185, 279.
