Migori Governor Okoth Obado is still in remand waiting for his bail application approval by the high court.
The county chief is a suspect in the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
In case Obado is jailed, the following people will most likely lose big
1. Raila Odinga
There are presently leaders from within and outside Migori County looking forward to capitalize on Obado's troubles to gain politically.
Some of them have already begun blaming opposition leader Raila Odinga for the troubles bedeviling Obado claiming the former prime minister has been quiet over the issue.
This group of people may run a smear campaign against Raila in Migori among other Luo Nyanza counties.
This will affect Raila's quest to become president in 2022.
2. Migori residents
Migori residents may turn out to be big losers in this case as it will affect development.
Every county has a development agenda to implement and Obado's absence in the devolved unit will slow down the rolling out of development projects.
Would he be in his office working today, Migori would have felt a greater effect on the speed at which projects are rolled out.
