Renowned blogger Robert Alai has hit out at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) student who on Monday sneaked into the State House armed with a knife.
Brian Kibet, 25, was shot and injured when he tried to access the President's official residence through Gate B.
Reacting to the incident, Alai condemned Kibet for risking his life while trying to act as a 'hero'.
He asked the fifth-year mechanical engineering student to stop the 'foolishness' of trying to invade a residence that is highly guarded by elite RECCE squad.
"A dead hero is a useless hero. Stop the foolishness. Life is a chess game. Play with the brain, not brawn," Alai tweeted on Tuesday.
The remarks, however, attracted mixed reactions as some tweeps slammed the blogger for criticising the varsity student, who they observed could have been mentally unstable.
"While he is concerned about a serious thing, mental health is here with us, we must now look out for those with early signs, North Rift seems to have more cases," posted Jamakiauto.
"Maybe he has lost hope with life and decided to end it like a hero instead of just committing suicide," remarked Nyash van Dijk.
Kibet has posting disturbing messages on his Facebook page, indicating he was waging war on President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly 'stealing his land and his inheritance'.
