There has been a lot of misinterpretation on Jesus first miracle of turning water to wine at a wedding. Many people have been confused about whether wine is good for the body or note. Former NACADA chairman John Mututho has given his interpretation of the miracle.
Speaking during an interview on Hot 96 FM on Tuesday, Mututho started by making it clear that out of the over five thousand people at the wedding, no one turned out drunk.
He also said that since Hebrews used the words wine and juice interchangeably, Jesus might have turned the water to juice.
In addition, Mututho noted that the miracle was just because Jesus Christ was good-hearted and he had to help the event organizers provide enough wine to everyone at the event.
“These 5000 guys do you have any record that anybody turned out drunk? In Hebrews, the word Juice and fermented wine is used interchangeably. That was his first miracle and it was just because of poor planning for the people who had a wedding because they had more guests than they planned and Jesus being good-hearted, he decided to do that,” said Mututho.
Despite being out of NACADA, Mututho has not relented on his war on alcohol and drugs abuse in the country.
