A section of local leaders in Kisii have condemned Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa for snatching a microphone from ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna on Friday during the burial of Benjamin Kingi.
At the funeral, Jumwa grabbed the microphone from Sifuna while he was addressing mourners.
On Saturday, leaders who spoke at Jogoo SDA church, led by Rachael Otundo, a human rights activist cum politician condemned Jumwa terming her immature.
Ms Otundo said Jumwa was after getting the attention from mourners after she was expelled from ODM party over gross misconduct and her alleged alliance with DP William Ruto.
"I'm a woman and therefore, won't defend MP Jumwa for humiliating Sifuna before mourners. Jumwa is the not the kind of women leaders this country should have because humiliating a man in public is unacceptable," she noted.
Riana ward MCA Vincent Moisabi dismissed Jumwa and urged her to join Jubilee party.
"Jumwa should not use orthodox means to return to ODM. Let her join tanga tanga team because that is where she chose to go and leave alone ODM and NASA," he stated.
Steve Arika, a former councilor said MP Jumwa is a trouble maker who should also not be given room in Jubilee.
"No political party should condone Jumwa because she has proved to be an immature woman politician," said Arika.
