The ODM MP has severally been voted among the best performing lawmakers in terms of utilisation of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

Here is a look at the MP's education background, his highest qualifications, and career.

Okoth was born at Kibera’s Kisumu Ndogo in 1978.

The fourth born in a family of six then schooled at Olympic Primary School in Kibera.

He scored 613 out of 700 marks in the KCPE and proceeded to Starehe Boys Center.

After his High school, Okoth won a scholarship to study in the United States (US).

He enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at St Lawrence University in US.

He also won a scholarship to study his master’s degree in International Relation at Georgetown University in the US.

Upon his graduation, Okoth returned to the country and started hustling for a job.

In 2013, he won the Kibera parliamentary seat on an ODM ticket.
