Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has accused former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka of using Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) aligned to Wiper party to frustrate the Ukambani governors.
Speaking during a TV interview on Sunday, the second term county boss said the MCAs have made it hard for the governors to offer their services because they are being used by Kalonzo.
Mutua, Kivutha Kibwana (Makeuni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) have now declared an all-out war against Kalonzo.
Mutua said Wiper politicians are hypocritical in nature.
“The Wiper leadership is hypocritical. Wiper MCAs have been destabilizing the three Ukambani counties on instructions from Kalonzo. This is what we will not accept any more,” Mutua said.
He said the trio's union is meant to develop the Ukambani region and nothing more.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader faulted Kalonzo and other leaders in the past regimes for failing to improve the locals' lives despite serving in high offices.
Mutua said they will not tolerate the MCAs' actions.
“We want to fight for the economic welfare of our people and also fight poverty by engaging in economic activities that help our people. We are looking at galvanizing the resources in three counties for the benefit of those we lead,” Mutua said.
