Police in Nairobi have raided a house where expired goods were being repackaged for resale.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the authorities swept in on a house in Siranga, Dandora, where bales of expired flour were being unpacked and put in new package papers for resale. 

In the raid, the DCI arrested two suspects.

"Detectives yesterday raided a house within Siranga area in Dandora & recovered several Bales of expired Exe Wheat, Dola Wheat and Golden Wheat Flours that were being repackaged after expiring in July 2018," said a tweet by the DCI.

"Two people arrested; Joyce Nyambura & Samuel Kamau," the DCI added. 

Cases of business fraud have been rampant in Nairobi with rogue businessmen targetting residents of slum areas like Kibera.
