Borabu MP Ben Momanyi once again dominated local political debates after a photo of him in a bar resurfaced on social media.
Known for his populism, the Wiper MP, who is keen to succeed Governor John Nyagarama, was trolled for 'spending most time at bars' than in his real offices.
"This is his trend. Expect more of than when you elect him as governor. He has nothing new to offer other than more visits to such places," argued Gecheo Evans.
Another user Milcah Obonyo added: "He has compromised the mentality of young people. They now days trust liquor than development."
But some accused his perceived opponents of stage-managing photos to soil the name of the second term legislator, a close ally of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
"We know those maligning his name. They just want him to look bad. There is nothing wrong with visiting bar for a rest," said Dominic Orori on Facebook.
At his backyard, Momanyi is synonymous with visiting local brew outlets accompanied by a host of youths, mostly bodaboda riders.
So popular he is that even at one time in Kibirigo, Deputy President William Ruto termed him 'tsunami' in a tour that also featured President Uhuru Kenyatta.
