Conflict is looming in Nakuru County Assembly following a move to have all nominated MCAs removed from various committees.

According to reliable sources, the move is being spearheaded by Majority Leader MCA Stanley Karanja and Biashara Ward MCA Peter Njoroge Wanyaguthie.

It has emerged that the house select committee which was inclusive of nominated MCAs was dismantled and a new one formed which excluded the nominated MCAs.

Nominated MCAs now claim they are discriminated by their elected counterparts.

Furthermore, the current select committee reportedly went ahead to dismantle the other house committees and constitute new ones which the nominated MCAs claim are not inclusive.

The nominated MCAs have raised the matter with Jubilee Party Headquarters and sources have it that Speaker Joel Maina Kairu and Majority Leader have received a warning letter over the matter.

The report of the select committee concerning the dissolved committees is expected to be tabled before the house on Wednesday morning and debated on in the afternoon.

Nakuru County Assembly has 23 nominated MCAs majority of who are women and have been holding positions in various committees.
