Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has called on all those who mentioned in the fake gold scam to carry their own cross.
In a Facebook post, the lawmaker boted that the scam had unearthed "dishonest underworld dealings".
"Regarding the fake gold scandal, I want to urge all those adversely mentioned in the scandal to carry their own cross. Every one of them should be held responsible for the specific role each one of them played in such a shameful, dishonest underworld dealings," he posted.
Addressing Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Fred Matiang'i, Sudi noted that the CS should "come clean on this scandal".
"I want to ask the CS for Interior Dr Fred Matiang'i to come clean on this scandal. Let him come out and tell Kenyans the truth about the following;
✓ What role did he play in the fake gold scam?
✓ How does he know Zaheer Jhanda?
✓ Who introduced him to Ruaraka Land case?
It's high time he breaks his silence and inform Kenyans, nothing but the truth," he said.
In a leaked audio, a person alleged to be Senator Moses Wetangula is heard trying to calm down an Arab man by using the names of President Uhuru Kenyatta, opposition leader Raila Odinga, and Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
"Raila met with the Head of State on this matter and explained to him. The Head of State has called the minister," the person alleged to be Wetangula said.
