A video has emerged showing how attackers who held several people hostage and injuring others at the Dusit2D hotel at 14 Drive in River Side Nairobi.
The CCTV footage captured four gunmen who are heavily armed approaching the facility’s entrance.
Three of them are led as the fourth one followed quickly from behind.
Though no sound could be captured from the footage, one gunman has seen the shooting.
They fire several gunshots at the parking lot before entering the building where the footage comes to an end.
Earlier, Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet said evacuation efforts were ongoing.
"We regret to inform that today at about 3 pm, unknown armed assailants attacked the Dusit Complex in what we suspect could be a terror attack. Security and emergency services responded quickly to the incidence and we immediately cordoned off the area and the situation is being managed," Boinnet said.
Later on Tuesday night, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i stated that all the buildings that had been affected had been secured.
