Addressing a crowd in Butala, Busia county, he vowed to lead the push to among others, reintroduce the abolished parliamentary system and Prime Ministerial seat.

He cautioned Deputy President William Ruto who has declared his opposition against the same, warning him of s terrible defeat in the encounter.

The county boss added that the pro-referendum team led by opposition leader Raila Odinga has a strong team in place that will put Ruto in his place should he go against the bid.

“There is a strong team that is ready to campaign for the change of the constitution and I am telling Ruto to dare oppose the referendum, we shall put him where he belongs,” joho is quoted by the Standard.

Joho is in office courtesy of Raila's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party and doubles up as his deputy in the bloc.

Ruto has repeatedly termed the push an attempt to create powerful positions for election losers, adding that he will not be party to such.

But the Raila team maintains that this is the only remedy for the recurrent political problems after elections and the exclusivity felt by election losers after presidential polls.
