Mr. Moi, who spent the better part of Saturday in Homa Bay, returned to the South Nyanza County on Sunday for a fundraiser towards uplifting Abedo Women Group, which constitutes small scale business people from across all markets in the county.

His day however, started with bad news following the accident that involved Migori Women Representative Pamela Odhiambo, whose driver died on spot on their way to Homa Bay.

After a closed door meeting at the home of Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga with other leaders, Moi moved to Homa Bay Tourist hotel where the function was being hosted.

On his way, he was momentarily blocked by a section of youths who demanded to be addressed by him near the venue.

"As I said yesterday, I am happy with your hospitality. I will be coming often in such functions as we uplift our people from poverty.

"I am working closely with local leaders so that we move our country to the next level," said Moi, whose father ruled Kenya for 24 years.

Besides Wanga, MPs James Nyikal of Seme, Antony Oluoch (Mathare) and Senator Moses Kajwang accompanied the flamboyant senator.

Sh15.1 million was collected with Mr. Moi, whose father was known for generous donations in such functions, parted with Sh3 million.

Politicians have lately user Harambee to advance their agenda with Deputy President William Ruto being synonymous with the habit.

Mrs. Wanga challenged President Uhuru Kenyatta to back a Raila-Moi ticket in 2022, adding that the two are sober to lead the country.

"As Luo Nyanza, we have never had a problem with Senator Moi. He's a cool guy and we hope that in 2022, we shall see his partnership with Raila."
