Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has confirmed claims that there exists a mass exodus as leaders seek other alternative parties away from the ruling Jubilee Party.
Speaking on Tuesday morning, the vocal leader claimed that some Jubilee members are unhappy with his the party is being run and are consequently running out.
The main beneficiary, he said, is the Democratic Party (DP) which he claims has attracted a majority of the politicians ahead of the approaching 2022 general elections.
"Its true there is some sort of division within the ruling party and I have been notified that some Jubilee members are trooping to other parties, especially DP," he said.
He was speaking on Radio Maisha's 'Bunge La Maisha' show.
The lawmaker added that the same has been linked to the lack of democracy and peace within the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led side.
"People are now looking for peace elsewhere and others are finding it hard enduring the many problems within the party. Lack of party elections is the other issue," he added.
On his side, he maintained that he has no plans of moving out and will join hands with the remnants to push the bloc back to its feet, but will make it clear when he decides to move out.
