A Bishop was on Wednesday arraigned before a Nakuru court and charged with land fraud.
Appearing before chief magistrate Patrick Ndegwa Munyua, the leader of Life Changing Worship Centre was accused of defrauding Benjamin Kimani the parcel of land.
The crime was allegedly committed on July 27 at Engashura area within Nakuru County.
The Bishop was arrested at Maili Sita and taken to DCI Nakuru where he was released on a police bail of Sh50, 000.
He denied the charges and through his lawyer, he urged the court to release him on favorable bond terms.
“Am on a police cash bail of sh50, 000, we also urge the court to supply us with statements or any other documentary evidence,” the Bishop said.
The court ordered that he be released on a surety bond of Sh50, 000 with an alternative cash bail of Sh40, 000.
The court will be mentioned on August 28 and heard on October 24.
