Reuben Kiborek, the personal assistant to Water Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui will be charged with defilement before a Nakuru court.
A charge sheet seen by this writer states that Kiborek committed the act at Nakuru’s Woodlands Hotel.
The PA was accused of picking his boss’ 16-year-old daughter at their home in Baringo and drove her to the high-end hotel where he booked her in.
By Monday morning, the CS’s family was working with a team of Flying Squad officers to trail the suspect. He got wind of the tracking and reportedly left the hotel in a bluff.
He was later in the day arrested and taken to Bondeni Police station where he was grilled for hours.
Later, journalists who were camping at the Nakuru Law court waiting for him to be charged had to leave when he was not brought in.
It later emerged that he had been locked at the OCPD’s office at the Central Police station where a magistrate, a prosecutor, and a court clerk were seen visiting.
It was not clear what transpired later as there were concerted efforts to deny media the story.
