From a councillor in Njiru where he won on a Kanu ticket in 2002 when the Narc wave was sweeping the country to becoming a governor in Kiambu after losing the same position in Nairobi County, Waititu is said to be a smart political schemer.

On Sunday, January 13, 2019, a photo of the county boss emerged and set the internet abuzz.

Waititu was at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church Ridgeways during a function where President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the church into a full parish.

In the photo, Waititu is seen sitting with members of the Catholic Women Association.

One social media user captioned the photo: “How Waititu got himself in the middle of these CWA women is as mysterious as the way he was at Punjab University.”

The user was referring to the controversy surrounding the politician’s degree at Punjab University in India which ex-Kiambu county boss William Kabogo has claimed was forged.

Here is the photo.
