Musyoka wants detectives to smoke out and punish killers who brutally murdered the second year Rongo University student and her unborn baby.

Speaking in Mwala Town on Tuesday, the Maendeleo Chap Chap MP said Sharon killers must be punished.

The MP said the rate at which young university girls are murdered is alarming in Kenya.

“The detective should not rest until they arrest and arraign in court culprits linked to Sharon’s Otieno’s murder,” Musyoka said.

He said police must do their work right this time around since Kenyans are watching.

Musyoka said there are many cases of mysterious murders in the country that are yet to be solved.

Investigations into Sharon's murder is on top gear.

On Tuesday, detectives quizzed Migori Governor Okoth Obado in connection to the murder.

Detectives now say they will take and study Governor Obado’s DNA samples as part of the investigations.

The deceased's family linked Obado to the murder.

The governor has, however, refuted the claims of having a hand in Sharon’s murder.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)  Noordin Haji says he will arrest and take to court all those who will be implicated in the brutal murder.
